21# Metamorfose trap

Mijn vriend en ik zitten wat interieursmaak gelukkig op één lijn! Het hele huis inrichten was voor ons een groot feest en we hadden geen enkele discussie of compromis. Totdat we bij de trap aankwamen.. waar ik koos voor een stoere, industriele en vooral strakke look, ging meneer voor zacht, comfort en was hij eigenlijk heel stellig; op een trap hoort tapijt voor de akoestiek. Ik wilde alles behalve tapijt! Het idee vind/vond ik zo ouderwets en stoffig en daarom hebben wij de afgelopen 1,5 jaar genoten van onze onafgewerkte trap haha.

Toen ik bezig was met een nieuwe blog voor Ad Koremans wonen stuitte ik op de speciale tapijt collectie van Desso&Ex. Ik dacht meteen, die wil ik hebben! Zo werkt het vaak bij mij. Als ik een product tegen kom waar ik meteen helemaal weg van ben, dan wil ik het ook direct in mijn eigen interieur. Er begon al snel een idee te borrelen, want ik wilde nu eindelijk wel eens iets met die trap doen.

De nieuwe Desso&Ex collectie is het resultaat van een succesvolle samenwerking tussen Desso en het internationale interieurarchitectenbureau Ex Interiors. De collectie bestaat uit kamerbreed tapijt met gesneden pool en op maat gemaakte karpetten. Wow!

Zo schrijft Odette Ex (oprichter en eigenaar van Ex Interiors) over deze collectie: “In de collectie staat het verbinden van mensen, ruimten en verschillende elementen centraal. Ik ben erg trots op de Desso&Ex-collectie omdat deze iets nieuws en unieks brengt op het gebied van interieurarchitectuur. De samenwerking tussen de twee bedrijven is een weerspiegeling van ons gezamenlijke streven naar schoonheid. Interieurontwerp moet mensen diep raken – op eenzelfde manier als kunst dat doet – en ik meen dat we dat met deze co-creatie hebben bereikt.”

Je kunt kiezen uit patchwork patronen, geweven structuren en ze hebben zelfs een betonlook. Het tapijt geeft zoveel warmte en comfort, geloof me dit is alles behalve ouderwets! Van een kamerbreed tapijt tot karpet op maat, elke combinatie van kleur en patronen levert een unieke look!

Wij hebben gekozen voor geweven variant in lichtgrijs. Het heeft de stoere, versleten look waar ik van houd, maar bied zoveel meer comfort dan een harde trapbekleding. Al tijdens het plaatsen merkte we het verschil. De galm in de gang is weg! Tapijt dempt het geluid van voetstappen, voelt lekker warm aan en voorkomt uitglijden.

Het resultaat is nog mooier dan ik in gedachte had! Hoe vinden jullie het geworden? Deze winter hebben wij in ieder geval geen koude voetjes, blij dat we ook dit project weer kunnen afvinken van ons lijstje.
